Série Road Trip - Côte Ouest (Centennial, Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic)
IPA - American

Kolsch
Kölsch Kölsch is our flagship brand and our lightest offering. Patterned off of German Kölsch that was originally produced in the city of Köln, Germany. Traditionally, this beer was brewed using a portion of the grain as wheat instead of barley. The aroma is that of cereal grains with a light floral note at the end. Upon drinking, the flavours subtly take over the mouth leaving very little bitterness. There is a noticeably sweet taste that appears just before the carbonation cleans the palate.
Clocktower '96 Red
Red Ale - American Amber / Red Our most complex beer, the Clocktower Red is brewed with a blend of five different types of malt and two types of hops. Aside from the rich colour, the malts add varying degrees of sweetness: caramel, chocolate, and toffee can all be found in both the flavour and aroma. Perhaps most interesting is the presence of a nuttiness, that presents itself on the nose and mouth. The hops used in the Clocktower Red are best characterized as citrus or pine flavours. The citrus and pines notes stick around in the mouth afterwards leaving a very pleasant after taste.
Raspberry Wheat
Fruit Beer The Raspberry Wheat is a crisp, refreshing beer with just a hint of raspberry flavour. The flavour is not tart but lightly sweet, reminiscent of summer berries. The Raspberry Wheat is made with premium Canadian 2-row barley and wheat. Just enough imported Czech Saaz hops are added to give a light floral note to compliment the raspberry flavour.
Bank St. Brown
Brown Ale - American
Wishart's ESB
Bitter - Extra Special / Strong (ESB) The Wishart’s ESB is in the tradition of a British Extra Special Bitter. ESB’s typically have more flavour, aroma and alcohol than a standard bitter. Our ESB is copper in colour and the nose is a blend of sweet caramel and fruity aromas. The flavour of this beer is complex. At first taste, sweet caramel and light toffees are overwhelming. As the flavour develops, a mix of fruity, spicy and citrus start to present themselves and eventually take over the sweeter flavours.
No. 7 IPA
IPA - English This classic English style beer IPA has a rich caramel color. The color is noticeable darker than our English Style Bitter due to the presence of caramel malt. This beer has four unique hop additions giving it a more complex bitterness than that of the other IPA’s; however it does remain highly drinkable and flavorful.
The Pumpkin
Pumpkin / Yam Beer THE PUMPKIN ALE CHARACTERISTICS : It pours dark amber to orange, similar to the colour of roasted pumpkin. The flavour of the beer is slightly sweet, but the pumpkin flavour will then burst forth when left to simmer on the drinkers palette. The aroma of the pumpkin is quite intense. As the beer warms slightly more notes of pumpkin and Autumn spices emerge. It has very little aftertaste, but does leave a dry tingle afterwards. There is real pumpkin added into the mashing process, which is then added with the hops into the boil. PUMPKIN ALE by the numbers : ABV = 5.0% SRM = 9 IBU = 18
CT Stout
Stout - Other A seasonal version of our original Oyster Stout. It is a dark brown, almost black beer in colour with a creamy tan head. The aroma is that of roast coffee & chocolate. The nitrogen added; rather than carbon dioxide, gives the stout a smooth creamy body, making it very easy to drink. The end flavour is has a hint of roast.
Knifewear Tongue Cutter IPA
IPA - American TONGUE CUTTER IPA is 100% true to its name! The 2018 TONGUE CUTTER IPA is packed with fresh citrus flavours and aromas making it the biggest IPA the Clocktower has ever produced, in over 22 years craft brewing. 2018 marks the second year that we are canning The Tongue Cutter IPA, which will be available for sale exclusively at our Bank St. / Glebe retail store. Tongue Cutter IPA is made in collaboration and designed with our good friends at Knifewear Ottawa. TONGUE CUTTER IPA CHARACTERISTICS Tongue Cutter IPA is a light bodied West Coast Style IPA. The beer is light in colour and hazy in appearance. Tongue Cutter IPA is made with West Coast citrus hops. It is low in bitterness up front, with initial flavours of orange and tangerine. The bitterness creeps up and by finish it completely envelops the mouth. As the beer warms, more flavours reveal themselves to the drinker. This is the most substantial IPA we have ever made. It is much bigger in taste and flavour in comparison with our staple No.7 IPA. TONGUE CUTTER IPA BY THE NUMBERS : ABV = 6.4% SRM = 7 IBU = 75
El Camino
Lager - American Light
Ottawa Pale Ale
Pale Ale - American
Vienna Spring Ale
Lager - Vienna This is an authentic Vienna style beer. It is brewed with premium imported malt and hops from Vienna. This beer is brewed using the traditional method of German/Austrian brewers and subsequently takes longer to brew then our other beers. The color is a light orange almost golden. It has a pleasant citrus aroma of the nose with hints of caramel. At first taste, the flavors present as citrus and slightly earthy however a small bit of roast or caramel may appear as well. The bitterness is similar to the ESB but much more subdued.
White Stout
Specialty Grain White Stout is an original Clocktower Brew Pub “mash up” made from two different styles of beer; a WiT beer and a Stout. It is a based on our traditional Wit beer, as it is brewed with lots of wheat, spiced with lemon peel and lemon dominant hops. The un-malted wheat adds a smooth texture to the beer which highlights it’s citrus elements. The twist in the White Stout comes from the stout portion of the beer. Nitrogen is added to the White Stout to lend creaminess and extra body. The smaller sized nitrogen bubbles in the carbonation, also help to bring the lemon zest to the surface at first taste. Our White Stout is a refreshing and highly drinkable beer made specifically for the first warm days of the Spring season. ABV 4.4% SRM = 1.5 IBU = 15
Extra Special Bitter
Bitter - Extra Special / Strong (ESB) A traditional British ESB with floral hops, balanced with toasted malt notes
Merry Cherry Porter
Porter - American Clocktower Merry Cherry Porter is based on the original recipe for much beloved CT Porter, first product circa 2007... now brewed with fresh cherries!
Break of Day Hazy IPA
IPA - New England / Hazy Emphasising hop aromas and big flavour without bracing bitterness our Break of Day IPA is a classic New England IPA / NEIPA that delivers a bursting juicy tropical hop experience! It’s moderate body, bold citrus & mango notes and low bitterness make it a perfect companion on a warm summer day. Pairs perfectly with roasted veggies, grilled meats & summer salads. Craft brewed in Ottawa, Canada.
Pride
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other
Porter
Porter - English The Clocktower Porter is a sweet, dark brown and full-bodied beer. There is an initial citrus and hop flavor right at the beginning of the palette, which gives way to hints of chocolate, caramel and toffee at the finish. Our Porter is nitrogen infused which holds in it’s unique flavour and aroma, as the beer settles. The Porter does take a little longer to pour, as it has a creamy cascading effect when poured, similar to a classic Irish Stout.
Maybock
Bock - Hell / Maibock / Lentebock This dark golden orange colored ale is a lighter form of a traditional bock. Brewing in Germany was outlawed during the warm summer months. Bock’s, in particular, Maibocks would have been some of the last beers to become available until fall. Our May-Bock is lighter in colour and flavour. The aroma is reminiscent of light fruit and spring flowers. The main flavors are honey, citrus, spicy pepper, and fruit. It is a delicately balanced beer between a strong bitterness and a honey backbone.
Hoppy Frooty O's Session IPA
IPA - Session Hoppy Frooty-O’s taste profile is as close to a bowl of fruit that the CT brewhouse has ever produced (minus the actual fruit and plus the beer!) Our new Clocktower Session IPA is brewed with 5 unique strains of hops, each of which impart different fruit and citrus flavours to the beer. As the beer warms, Hoppy Frooty-O’s reveals hints of fresh apple, lemon, tangerine and melon, in both it’s flavour and aroma. Despite the generous amount of hops used in the brewing process, there is virtually no bitterness to the beer. Our CT brewer’s have provided just enough malt flavour to balance out the beers abundant hoppy fruit flavours. Hoppy Frooty-O’s is a perfect craft beer for the Summer patio season!
Beerista
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other Equator coffee roasters Ethiopian light roasted Coffee infused Golden Ale.
Is Spring Coming Bock?
Bock - Hell / Maibock / Lentebock Is Spring Coming Bock – Tasting Notes Much like Ottawa weather Is Spring Coming Bock teases you in one direction and suddenly shifts. This clean golden ale is light and refreshing on first sip just like a warm spring day or random February days. Light cereal and bready aromas waft through the warm winter air. Unlike our weather, this bock is very easy to take. The twist just like that random snow storm is a flurry of alcohol, it comes in at 5.7% abv. Just high enough to help forget the slide to work and home. The higher alcohol presents as light fruity flavours and a slight warming after a few sips. Bocks are malt forward beer that are usually very clean. Is Spring Coming Bock is our unique homage to the Maybock style of beer.
Webster's Dunkel
Lager - Munich Dunkel Webster’s Dunkel our very first Lager. IT is based on the Munich Dunkel style. Dunkel means dark so the style is meant to be a clean lager with “dark” flavours. The nose on the dunkel is very light with hints of caramel and toffee. It has a candied apple like flavour on the body. It starts of as a bit of caramel and ends with a finish distinctly apple. Very light in body and very clean tasting. No noticeable bitterness, hop flavour and aroma are very light. Those looking for a clean beer with more flavour should enjoy the dunkel. The candy apple flavour is very playful with no hint of extra sweetness. And yes, that is our Brewmaster Patrick's dog. ABV = 5.0% IBU = 14 SRM = 21
Billy's Goat Brew
Stout - White / Golden Billy's Goat Brew is a very creamy and smooth nitro stout, with rich notes of dark chocolate and a fresh espresso kick. Our white stout is brewed with cold brew coffee concentrate, in partnership with Ottawa's very own Happy Goat Coffee Company!
38th Battalion Ale
Scottish Ale Brewed in honour of the 38th Ottawa Overseas Battalion who fought valiantly in the battle of Vimy Ridge and for all the brave men & women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, in pursuit of freedom.

- - - - - Hops: Azacca (33%), Citra (33%) and Simcoe (33%) Brewery notes: On the nose, we get a nice blend of stone and exotic fruit reminiscent of a medley of peach, pineapple and passion fruit juices. The palate starts off with a nice roundness thanks to the fine tuned water profile and the use of wheat and oats. Here, pineapple and mango dominate the flavour profile. As the beer warms, we notice grapefruit and orange notes. Each sips finishes quite dry for the style thanks to low residual sugars and a moderate bitterness.
Broken Cue
- - - - - Hops: Simcoe (67%) and Mosaic (33%) Brewery notes: The nose is all tropical fruit and citrus. The texture is very rich and creamy. The palate on this is intense; pineapple, mango, passionfruit… We also get more floral/sweet notes, namely bubble gum and mixed berries. Moderate bitterness with each sip ending with a taste of sweet fruit.
Hippie Rock
- - - - - Hops: Mosaic (60%) and Citra (40%) Brewery notes: Exotic fruits dominate the nose completely. Mango shines through particularly on the palate, accompanied by stone fruit and citrus (orange and lime zest). The body of this beer is rich and its bitterness remains long enough to mask the alcohol level and residual sugars. Dangerously good and easy drinking!
Mixtape (Rouge)
- - - - - Brewery notes: A blast of tropical fruit punch and citrus on the nose. The malt and water profiles along with the carbonation level allows us to get an extremely creamy texture. On the palate, again, a powerful medley of exotic fruits dominated by notes of mango and finishes on more subtle citrus and berry notes.

A brewery favourite ;) The name Munich was taken from the word Munichen, meaning “by the monk” (therefore, Des Moines). This traditional german lager is, if you ask us, one of the better food pairing beers out there. With very low residual sugar rounding things out and notes of french baguette, this beer is just as much a thirst quencher.
Lucide Dream
- - - - - Brewed with cacao and coffee from our friends, Aylmer's own Brown Bag Coffee Roasters, this stout is well balanced avec le cacao qui lui amène une belle ronde with a Brazilian and Columbian coffee blend giving it hazelnut and milk chocolate notes and cacao nibs rounding things up.

Nous tenons à remercier nos amis chez Maltstrom qui nous ont donné un coup de main avec cette bière. - - - - - Brewed with a combination of 7 different German malts, it presents notes of toasted bread, nuts and dark chocolate chocolate. We want to thank our friends at Maltstrom who helped us with this beer.

Voices Carry Rockaberry
Sour - Fruited For this latest iteration of Voices Carry we took our base sour and aged it 4 months. It was then conditioned on generous amounts of blackberry, black currant, concord grape and a touch of lactose for a delicious, slightly sweet and creamy treat. This beer is our homage to the OG wine cooler that Spark’s founder—Andrea—drank back in the day.
Better Late Than Never
IPA - American Better Late Than Never Blood Orange IPA is our latest juicy & hoppy beer! We added a bunch of blood orange and we got a beer bursting with fresh & bright citrus notes. A sweet aroma is followed up by a soft body with a lingering off-dry & tangy finish.
How About Italy?
Pilsner - Italian How About Italy? Good idea! Our new dry-hopped Italian-style Pilsner is made with 100% pilsner malt and dry hopped with Saphir and Spalter Select hops. This refreshingly simple dry beer has a blast of citrus, restrained mowed grass and summer vibes.
Amiable
Farmhouse Ale - Saison A classic old world saison. 100% Ontario pilsner, Vienna and wheat malts make for a golden coloured, highly drinkable Belgian saison. Black pepper and stone fruit and citrus dominate, but a slight herbal, fruity hop note from the Styrian Golding and Saaz hops comes through on the finish.
Even Downtown Pink Guava+Passionfruit

One Stunning, Gorgeous Cartwheel

Spark Super Dry
IPA - American Spark Super Dry is a hazy IPA with a fun, old-school twist. We made this to be drier than most north-east IPAs which results in a drinkable and awesomely hoppy beer. Centennial, Idaho 7 and El Dorado hops create a candied orange, watermelon and stone fruit explosion.
Tan Lines
IPA - American Spark goes west!! This West Coast IPA features a distinct bitterness balanced by biscuity malt character. Featuring citrus and herbal notes, this is the perfect beer as patio season begins.
Black As Midnight On A Moonless Night In Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada
Stout - Pastry The best dessert ever but in beer form! It's the glorious return of Black as Midnight on a Moonless Night in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada Nanaimo Bar Stout. We brewed this Double Dessert Stout with tons of toasted coconut, dark chocolate, graham crackers, lactose, and just the right amount of vanilla. It all comes together in a rich roasty stout with toasty coconut up front, balanced out by bitter chocolate, sweet lactose, and a boozy warmth. Literally a Nanaimo bar in a glass.
Porch Sit
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other It's summer! And that means porch sitting with a fine beverage. We used traditional Czech Lager malts and hops to give this zesty blonde beer a pilsner-vibe. It was fermented with a very clean and crisp Norwegian Kveik farmhouse yeast blend. Red fruit on the nose with a refreshing finish.
Past/Times
IPA - Imperial / Double New England / Hazy It might be cold, but this Double IPA will remind you of those fun and sunny July days on the Sparking lot patio! ? Loads of Citra and Mosaic give this 8.0% hazy IPA a big splash of citrus and stonefruit and perhaps some comfort in knowing that good things can still happen.
Voices Carry Raspberry
Sour - Fruited Voices Carry Raspberry returns! This iteration is a summery pink treat bursting with raspberries. Slightly tart with a bright carbonation, this favourite has a bretty, earthy funk. Get it while it lasts!
Double Activities!

How Far?

'Til Tuesday Plum
Sour - Fruited 'Til Tuesday is a new series of blended beers including 18 month old barrel aged sour beer. This iteration was fermented with Italian Plums for a month before bottling. Slight oak and funk from the barrel aging leads into jammy plums. It's dry and effervescent and will leave you humming Aimee Mann songs in your head. This beer is one of our new favourites!
Sparktoberfest!
Märzen Our take on a German-style Oktoberfest beer, lagered for seven weeks for our first annual Sparktoberfest celebration. A delicious, malty lager with a beautiful amber hue is best served in a stein for ultimate enjoyment.
I ?? the Modern Way
Sour - Fruited This lively sour beer first hits with a delightful blast of raspberry from the super ripe whole raspberries and finishes with a slight lemony twist by way of fresh lemon zest and lemon juice. Dragon fruit adds an intense red colour to an already red, juicy and ridiculously fun beer.
Browsing The Internet For What You Love
IPA - New England / Hazy The joys of endless scrolling! But don't scroll past this excellent hazy IPA, brewed with Mississippi Mills Pilsner malt as well as a touch of wheat and oats for a lightly creamy body. Dry-hopped with loads of Citra and Mosaic, it evokes aromas of juicy peach and sweet citrus and finishes with a gentle hop bite. The perfect accompaniment to hours of cat videos ?.
Lulu
Brett Beer The second release from our oak foeder is Lulu, a porter-like beer that was fermented for six months with a blend of Belgian and Brettanomyces wild yeasts. It was then bottle conditioned all summer long. This black, rich beer has notes of oak, dark-roasted coffee, and English biscuits. A firm brett backbone and soft carbonation balance out the small amount of residual sugar. Perfect for sipping by the fire after a hard day of nothing much at all.

Shaggin' Wagon
IPA - New England / Hazy Recent bronze medal winner at the 2018 Ontario Brewing Awards and Big Hoppa 2019 winner. Brewed in the New England style, this hazy award-winning IPA is bursting with juicy tropical notes of pineapple, tangerine and apricot. Bitterness takes a back seat while the hop flavour and aroma can't sit still as they sing their hearts out in the front. A heavy dose of oats and wheat contribute to a soft, creamy body that carries this outrageous beer along its road trip. Hop on the shaggin' wagon and sing along. MOCK (yeah)...ING (yeah)...BIRD (yeah)... Come by the brewery, hang by the bar and put the vibe out.
This One
California Common Now available in the LCBO and bronze medal winner at the 2018 and 2019 Ontario Brewing Awards. Our take on a California Common, a unique North American style with a rich history dating back to the Gold Rush era, this beer is based on our award-winning recipe. It has a moderate malt presence, intertwined with balanced notes of toast and caramel, finished with hints of rustic wood on the nose. It has a beautiful copper color that finishes as crisp as an autumn morning. So when your server or bartender asks what you’d like to drink, point at the menu and say, “I’ll have This One.” You’ll be glad you did.
Anytime
Pale Ale - American This american-style pale ale exhibits a glorious golden hue with a slight bitter finish, and the nose expresses mild and pleasant tropical hints of mango, tangerine and pineapple, with a slight resinous back note. The perfect blend of character and sessionability. As the name suggests, enjoy Anytime…anytime.
Jeanne D'Ark
Stout - Oatmeal Jeanne d’Arc, or Joan of Arc, is considered a heroine of France and was a feisty and clever military strategist. Known by her nickname, "the Maid of Orléans" (La Pucelle d'Orléans), she was certainly a strong woman ahead of her time and is well deserving of the namesake boulevard that runs through our community. We dedicate this beer to honour our Orléans roots and to strong women everywhere. Jeanne d'Ark is a creamy and delicious oatmeal stout with pronounced chocolate and coffee on the nose, a dense tan head, slight bitterness on the tongue followed by a smooth finish. Battle the autumn evening chill with a glass of this saintly beverage.
Summer Slam
Wheat Beer - American Pale Wheat 2018 Gold Medal winner at the Ontario Craft Brewing Awards. A cucumber wheat beer? There's nothing cooler when it comes to this fruit, so we said 'Why not'? We hand-peeled, cubed and dry-hopped this american wheat beer with 190 english cucumbers. The result is a refreshing ale reminiscent of cool, fresh rain, a slight grassiness, emboldened by a hint of pepper and citrus.
Jagged Little Pilsner
Pilsner - Czech / Bohemian Recent Gold Medal Winner for European Pilsner at the 2019 Canadian Brewing Awards! Same great beer, now in a smaller format! Available on tap and in 355mL cans, this lager is golden in colour with an assertive hop flavour, spicy floral notes and crisp, refreshing finish that pilsners are known for. We went old school using all Saaz hops, but the stray in us gives it a slight haze character. Make sure you Czech this German out, as we went all Pilzen on the malt.
Tropical Knockout
Pale Ale - Other This double dry-hopped pale ale delivers reckless hooks of Sabro and Galaxy hops, delivering a juicy uppercut to your senses. Intoxicating aromatics and flavours of citrus, pineapple, cantaloupe and coconut will leave you weak in the knees, but the lower ABV is sure to let you go at least a few rounds.
Whoop Ass
IPA - American You're having one of those days. The desire to introduce a world of hurt to the object of your frustration comes to a boil. Hey Champ - instead of cracking some skulls, why not crack the tab of our new IPA, and let the therapy begin. Our Whoop Ass IPA leaps off the top rope with notes of candied tangerine, mango, and stonefruit with a subtle elbow drop of a piney, dry finish. Vicious amounts of Citra and Mosaic hops were pile driven into the fermenter to deliver the ultimate smack down on your taste buds. Ohhhhhh yeeeaaaah, brother! Available today at the brewery in cans and on tap.
50 Shades of Grisette
Farmhouse Ale - Grisette When loads of plump juicy raspberries step in to meet our first-ever grisette, little did we realize the path our beer would take. 50 Shades of Grisette is as enigmatic as it is delicious. We plunged headlong into this old-style of beer, and learned the grisette's true flavourful proclivities when paired with berries. The result pushes the boundaries of pure palate pleasure. Where Belgian saisons developed as restorative beverages for tired farmhands working the fields, the grisette was brewed to quench the thirst of those working in the mines. The name grisette literally means "little gray" and refers to either the gray stone that the miners dug through, or the gray-dressed women who served the ale. Light in body and low in alcohol, this grisette is a little bit of naughty and a whole lot of nice. Brisk, tart, light and dry, the ingredients used have come together in a true climax of bright and refreshing qualities, yet still has a complex flavor that is easy to drink. Perfect pairs include moules frittes or a nice, soft cheese, but is a welcome three-some to charcuterie.
Bleu Nuit
Farmhouse Ale - Saison Our blueberry saison is tart and dry with a naughty whisper of berry sweetness that will keep you coming back for more. One Friday night, between midnight and 2 a.m., we added 330 lbs of blueberries to our saison, hummed the theme song to Emmanuelle, dimmed the lights and let them get it on. All natural and all delicious.

Boo-ya! Spiced Autumn Ale
Spiced / Herbed Beer This spiced autumn ale gets some of its alluring colour and character from the generous helping of pumpkin puree added to the mash, plus the brown sugar, fresh cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and allspice added to the boil. The Count balances the wonderful flavours and aromas of Thanksgiving with the insatiable excitement of Halloween.
Brite Future
IPA - New England / Hazy Juicy, hazy NEIPA and September 2018's Community Brew collaboration with CRAFT Beer Market Ottawa in support of The Shine Foundation, a charitable art foundation dedicated to the advancement of music education, performance and production that uses music as a catalyst for social change for at-risk youth.
Redeem Yourself
IPA - New England / Hazy Bonehead decision or stroke of genius? We took our beloved Shaggin' Wagon receipe and super charged it!We slightly raised the ABV and gave it an additional round of dry-hops with mosaic cryo hops (concentrated lupulin pellets) for an extra layer of tropical intensity on this wacky adventure. Just when you thought we couldn't possibly get any dumber, we go and do something like this.... and completely redeem ourselves!
Boombox
IPA - Session Don't let the size of the system fool you, Boombox has enough hoppy goodness blaring out of its speakers to make the neighbourhood file a noise complaint. Dry hopped to the same level of Shaggin' Wagon, this session IPA will blast your senses with huge notes of apricot, melon and candied peach. At 4.4% ABV and 30 IBU, this crisp quencher keeps the party going during the smoldering dog days of summer. We challenge you to find another low alcohol beer that delivers this much flavour.
Shit Hoppens
IPA - Imperial / Double New England / Hazy
Quit Your Job
IPA - American Dedicated to anyone who has had the courage to chase what they are passionate about and not let fear hold them back from pursuing their dreams. Quit Your Job IPA was brewed in celebration of straying from the norm. Loaded with Citra and Australian Galaxy hops, this hazy tropical beast is exploding with juicy waves of citrus, passion fruit and peach character. 6.8% ABV and 60 IBU.
Double Impeachment
IPA - Imperial / Double From the same fools that brought you Moistly Mosaic IPA, we spared no expense with this egotistical monster of a beer. Double Impeachment is orange in colour with a fluffy off-white head that sits as boldly atop the beer as a comb-over trying to fight the laws of nature on a windy day. We weren't conservative with the flavours as huuuge aromatics of tropical, peachy and apricot goodness ooze from the glass due to the reckless amounts of Citra and Simcoe dry hops that were cast in the fermenter over two rounds (no need for a re-count). Juicy, assertive tartness, and dry finish make this our boldest IPA to date. Grab this beer while you can, it won’t be around for a second term
Psycho Keller
Kellerbier / Zwickelbier A kellerbier? Qu'est-ce que c'est? It's a young German-style lager, which translates to "cellar beer." Traditionally, the cold-aging period is shorter which makes the hop character more pronounced, and the beer is cloudier in appearance. We think this hazy lager is a real live wire, with subtle fruity aromatics, smooth mouthfeel, and rich malt flavour. Don't run, run, run, run, run, run, run away from this beer, it may not last too long!
Black Eye
IPA - Black / Cascadian Dark Ale After years of studying the secret art of hops, this black IPA leaps out of the shadows and attacks the senses like a flying kick to the face. Darker than a fifth degree black belt, Black Eye combines a subtle roast character with a wallop of tropical, fruity hops. Never underestimate the element of surprise. 6% ABV, 42 IBU. This mean IPA was brewed in the hoppy dojo of Stray Dog Brewing Company in collaboration with Ottawa's own Alain Moussi, star of the Kickboxer Trilogy.
Dark Matter
Stout - Imperial / Double Oatmeal
Northern Lite
Lager - American Light Northern Lite is our homage to growing up on good-ole easy-drinking Canadian beer, but with our Stray Dog twist. Refreshing and crisp, with notes of biscuit and a slight citrus twist on the nose, this is a beer you can take to the cottage or lake, after a game of pick-up, or simply sitting around with good friends and hearty laughs. But don’t confuse it with one of those ‘big guys’ beers – ours is unfiltered yet refined. Kinda like us.
Le Normandie
Farmhouse Ale - Saison Le Normandie is a refreshing, unfiltered, hazy saison. Hints of white pepper, lemon and banana are prominent on the nose. This french-inspired beer is our homage to a long gone, but not forgotten Orléans landmark. The motel was a place for weary travelers to rest. It was also a gathering place for locals to hang out at the bowling alley, eat at the restaurant, and home to many dances and community events. Be a part of our community and raise a glass to Orléans history.
Smash Hits
Lager - American Ottawa titans brew
Unity
IPA - Triple It’s a triple dry-hopped triple IPA! Its massive grain bill is only matched by its ridiculous hop saturation. Expect luscious notes of orange marmalade, over-ripe pineapple and peach. Layers of complexity evolve as it warms. With each can sold, $0.50 will be donated to Equal Chance — a national not-for-profit organization that promotes the social, economic, cultural and political well-being of women and black communities.

Aromas of bready malt and spicy hops greet the nose, with a hint of lemon zest in the background. On the palate, the beer offers a delicate balance of lightly toasted biscuit and cracker-like malt flavors, with a moderate bitterness that lingers on the tongue. The hops provide a subtle earthy and floral character, while a hint of lemon and grass give the beer a refreshing finish. Farmhouse Ale - Saison
174 Taproom Series 112: Coffee Blonde Ale
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other We’re excited to unveil our latest brew—a real beauty, the Coffee Blonde Ale! This beer is the best of both worlds: the easy-drinking smoothness of a blonde ale mixed with the bold, rich flavours of freshly roasted cold brew, thanks to a heaping amount of Brazil – Honey blend coffee from our friends at Fluid Solar Roasted Coffee. Pouring a clear, pale straw-yellow with a light tan head, it’s coffee-forward with aromas of dark chocolate and a hint of earthy hops. On the sip, expect smooth hazelnut, chocolate, and deep roasted coffee, all balanced by a light malt backbone.

Lowertown Dubbel
Belgian Dubbel Also known as the Winter Skate Ale. The perfect Winter companion. The Lowertown Dubbel is a formidable, strong, complex beer that is modeled after Western-European monastery beers known as “Dubbels”. A deep ruby red in colour with a creamy off-white head. Rich malty, dried fruit flavours and will finish with a smooth, warming texture. As mentioned in the serving notes, take your time drinking this as more of the rich, complex notes will become present as the beer warms. Makes an ideal after-dinner drink or will pair well with beef stew and carbonnade, wild game, brisket, or Lowertown’s Kale & Seed salad and Hickory-Smoked Chicken Wings. À la Belge!
Timberslide IPA
IPA - Other Highlighted by the classic citrus character of cascade hops. This IPA has a complex flavour that takes influence from several international IPA styles. Well balanced notes that are piney, spicy, floral, earthy, and citrus will come from the hops accompanied by biscuit, bread, and mild chocolate notes from the malt. Enjoy with a variety of barbecued fare, spicy foods, or any food that needs a robust beer to stack up to.
Red Fife Tavern Ale
Red Ale - Other A light beer packed with malty flavour. Fresh baked bread, toasty, and nutty notes come through upfront. Rich malt and mild hop character come through on the finish to make a pleasant, balanced beer.
Lowertown Lager
Pilsner - German A clean, crisp, and pleasant German-Canadian Pale Lager. Easy drinking and smooth on the palate with no shortage of malty, sweet flavours. This refreshing beer can be enjoyed anytime in any setting.
Sapper's Stout
Stout - Irish Dry A smooth & creamy, nitrogen infused stout. Rich malty flavours backed up by a dry finish. If you’re looking for a complex yet well-balance stout, look no further. The Lowertown Sapper's Stout strays a bit away from the standard Irish Dry Stout and takes influence from Oatmeal Stouts, American Stouts, and other international stout styles. Robust notes of coffee, chocolate, and malt make this a stout fan’s dream. For those who have never tried a stout before, they may be pleasantly surprised with how smooth and creamy a beer can be. Don’t knock it ‘till you rock it! Pairs well with beef (steaks and briskets), lamb, burgers, Irish stew, roast potatoes, and chocolate-based desserts.
Shooting Rapids Pale Ale
Pale Ale - Other Also known as the Lowertown Pale Ale. A Canadian Pale Ale with notes of stone fruits, citrus and fresh baked bread. Gold/orange in colour, with a refreshing, smooth sense on the palate. Pairs well with the Lowertown House Buffalo or Sweet Chili & Garlic Chicken Wings, Smokehouse Salad, BBL Burger, or the Summer Berry Cheesecake dessert jar.
Dark Lager
Lager - Dark A Canadian version of a light Bock. This lager is well balanced and clean with notes of biscuit, toffee, caramel, and rum. If you're tired of the usual rum & coke, give the dark lager a try. Pairs well with the Lowertown Burger, Spiced Beer Nuts, Hickory Smoked Rack of Ribs, or the Campfire S'mores Dessert Jar.
El Camino
Lager - American Light The El Camino Cerveza takes Bavarian brewing tradition of Caribbean/Mexican Lagers we know today to make a full-flavoured lager at the Lowertown Brewery in Ottawa. Crisp, smooth, pleasant, and refreshing. This lager is best enjoyed on the patio with some sun and maybe even with a lime on the side. Pairs well with chicken, tortilla-based dishes, light vinaigrettes, and grilled pub fare.
1826 Gold
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other Style: Post-Prohibition Cream Ale/Session Blonde Ale Light, crisp, and refreshing. This is a beer for hot summer days on the patio. Mild notes of malt, corn, and lime with a dry taste. Pale straw in colour and nicely carbonated.
Bytown Brown Ale
Brown Ale - Other
Barrack Hill Bitter
Bitter - Session / Ordinary
Impeachment Ale
Sour - Other A refreshing, thirst-quenching, kettle-soured ale with fresh peaches added. We’ve added a special blend of lactobacillus cultures to give this beer a pronounced sour character that is balanced out by the sweet flavour of peaches, honey, and bread dough. Enjoy cold and have as a refreshing beer on a hot summer day or let it warm to bring out a pronounced peach aroma and other subtleties. Pair with the Lowertown Smoked Cauliflower Fritters, the Dirty Bird sandwich, Field the Beets salad, the Summer Berry Cheesecake dessert jar, or a patio with some sun.
Clocktower Raspberry Wheat
Wheat Beer - American Pale Wheat
NEPA #1
Pale Ale - New England / Hazy Also known as the Lowertown A.B.E.L. Hop heads rejoice! This is Lowertown’s first beer using Vermont Ale yeast and it’s a big one. We’ve come up with a full-bodied, smooth beer that’s loaded with flavour from a special blend of American hops. Abundantly fruity with some floral and herbal notes to round it out, this New England style Pale Ale is complex and will continue to develop different aromas as it warms in your glass. Pair with citrussy vinaigrettes, sweet mustards, curries, roast chicken, and smoked meat.
Hazed And Confused
IPA - New England / Hazy
Lowertown Smoke
Grodziskie / Grätzer Also known as the Lowertown Grätzer. Made with a grain bill of 100% oak smoked wheat malt. We’re bringing in another traditional beer style originating from Grodzisk, Poland. Sometimes referred to as “Polish Champagne”, this style is a dry, non-filtered, highly-carbonated session beer highlighting the flavour from the oak smoked malt. Pairs excellent with seafood. Can be used for cocktails (think of it like an oak smoked club soda).
Spiced Amber
Rye Beer Also known as the Lowertown Pie in the Rye. A full-bodied beer with a silky-smooth finish, our newest seasonal is autumn baked goods in a glass. Using barley, rye, wheat, and a good amount of spice, we’ve made something that is our perfect autumn beverage that can be enjoyed on its’ own or with food.
Extra Special Bitter
Bitter - Extra Special / Strong (ESB)
Cherry Beer
Fruit Beer Also known as the Lowertown Kriek After a long Winter, it’s finally time to sit on a patio with something refreshing. The Lowertown Cherry Beer is modeled after the Belgian Kriek, a style of beer that uses fresh cherries aged directly with the base beer. Our interpretation is something that shows the sweet and tart character of cherries, but still light and refreshing. As the beer warms, the fruity aromas of cherries, raspberry, strawberry, and Riesling grapes show a bit more. Aroma: Fresh tart cherries, sweet dark cherries, Riesling, citrus zest, honey, fresh baked bread Taste: Similar to aroma. Sweet, tart, cherry, bread dough, mild raspberry & strawberry
Pumpkin Spice Ale
Pumpkin / Yam Beer
Rye 'N' Shine
Rye Beer Using as much malted rye as our brewing system could handle, we made something truly unique for Lowertown. While German roggenbier’s (rye beer) are already a rare style to begin with, we decided to make our own rye beer that would be appropriate for the start of patio season. Rich notes of rye bread are noticeable right away with more body to the mouthfeel compared to your average blonde ale. Drink cold, serve fresh, and enjoy the sunshine. Goes well with the Lowertown Poutine, Kettle Chip Nachos, Smoked Meat Sandwich, Warm Garden Pasta, but also a generally good beer to have alongside food.

Where other breweries have come along and copied us, the idea of making an organic beer was a precept of our company and it still represents that spirit of doing the right thing that governs everything that we do here at Mill Street.
Hopped & Confused Vol. 2
IPA - Session Hopped & Confused is no one hit wonder. Volume 2 is packed with the deliciously sessionable taste of malted barley and toasted wheat flakes with notes of peach, nectarine and tropical fruits from Mosaic, Galaxy, and Centennial hops. Fermented warm with Kveik yeast, this hazy brew is like nothing else. Let the adventure begin!
Haze Phaze IPA
IPA - New England / Hazy This IPA is crafted using Eldorado, Citra and Galaxy hops to bring bursts of citrus, tropical and stone fruit aromas and flavours. Click into a bold, tantalizing world of flavour.
IPA (India Pale Ale)
IPA - English True IPAs were high in both alcohol and hops to survive the long hot voyage from Britain to India. This makes it a big and flavourful beer style. Our version is no exception. Traditional English malts and hops are used to give this copper brew a big flavour. This beer has a slightly roasted note with a strong hop bitterness and flavour.
Tankhouse Organic Pale Ale
Pale Ale - American Our original brewery in Toronto’s historic Distillery District, known as “Tankhouse #3” was built in 1879 as a storage building for bulk spirits waiting to be filled into barrels. It was in this building in 2003 that our Tankhouse Ale was born. Now made with all organic ingredients, we use an abundance of organic hops and five different organic malts to produce a rich, fiery pale ale, copper-red in colour, and truly satisfying in flavour.
100th Meridian Organic Amber Lager
Lager - American Amber / Red Our organic barley comes from the Great Plains of Canada. I had the opportunity to go and meet the farmers that grow this organic grain for us, and they are amazing people. These fine folks have taken one step back, and are doing things the right way. This is an American-style craft lager brewed with pale and amber malts, and a whole lot of American west coast hops to give it a wonderful character that’s certified organic. All of the organic barley malt, hops and yeast come from west of the 100th Meridian–thus the name. It is a truly Canadian craft brew that combines the “best of the west” ingredients, a unique recipe and classic Mill Street smoothness.
Cobblestone Stout
Stout - Irish Dry Our Nitrogen-charged Cobblestone Stout is a smooth traditional Irish-style stout served with that familiar creamy pour. With a deep roasted, smoky palate and a crisp, lingering hop note to finish, this is a stout lover's stout. This classic pub ale is a gift from our brewers to you.
West Coast Style IPA
IPA - American Mosaic, El Dorado and Hallertau Blanc hops.
Vanilla Porter
Porter - English A whimsical design that is another winning Nitrogen-charged combination from our brewery. Fantastic cold weather beer, this porter has been a wintertime favourite at our Toronto pub since 2009. Using the same widget can technology as our Cobblestone Stout, this beer is now available to drink at home as well. The use of porter styles to make flavoured beers is a classic signature of North American craft breweries, and I think our Vanilla Porter is one of the best. Understated and complex, the character of this beer come from vanilla. My dad used to grow orchids, and now I do too in a greenhouse at home. Friends who have followed my career in the brewing industry since 1986 laughed when they realized that I had finally made a beer out of orchids! Funny where inspiration comes from!
Hopped & Confused Session Ale
IPA - Session This beer is really hoppy but not bitter. It is an ale and a lager. It is juicy, herbal, floral, smooth, crisp, and doesn't taste like anything else. It is a sessionable version of a non-sessionable style. Hopped? Confused? Once you try it, you'll get it. It is deliciously straight forward.
Lemon Tea Beer
Spiced / Herbed Beer A remarkable wheat beer infused with a blend of Orange Pekoe and Earl Grey teas. It pours a light amber colour and will charm you with its sublime tea flavour and subtle lemon twist. A truly Canadian take on one of Europe’s newest beer styles.
Nightmare Pumpkin Ale
Pumpkin / Yam Beer Appearing in the fall this devilishly delicious ale is brewed with real pumpkin and generous amounts of spice. this smooth medium bodied amber ale is made with a blend of 5 malts, 6 spices, unmalted wheat, pure vanilla extract and pumpkin in the mash. its spicy aroma and hints of ginger and clove leave a lingering "pumpkin pie" aftertaste.
Belgian Wit
Wheat Beer - Witbier / Blanche Mill Street Belgian Style Wit is a refreshing beer made with a unique blend of ingredients. The soft texture and pale colour comes from the use of wheat, coriander, orange peel and our special yeast and produce the complexity and depth of fruity flavours contained within the glass. This beer is unfiltered. The resulting cloudiness gave rise to the term Wit, or White beer.
Hazy Organic IPA
IPA - New England / Hazy Introducing our first certified organic IPA - the Hazy Organic IPA; brewed with two certified organic US-grown hop varieties, Sultana and Amarillo hops. These hops deliver a bouquet of tropical, citrus, floral, and pine aromas. The beer is fruity and features west coast pine character, robust bitterness, and a smooth mouthfeel.
Stock Ale
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other This thirst-quenching “export style” brew is crafted the way domestic blonde ales were made 100 years ago. The natural sweetness of the malt dominates this smooth ale, making it – what we alternately call the “Ultimate Hockey Beer” or the “Ultimate Cottage Beer” (depending on the season).
Oktoberfest
Märzen A fall staple, this "festbier" is brewed for fall celebrations, the best known being the Oktoberfest in Munich. Ours take on the style has a soft, malty aromatic nose and a rich copper colour capped with a large creamy white head. at 5.5% it will keep you warm on a cool autumn evening.
Blue Wave
Lager - American Is it possible to be both subtle and forward at the same time? To be both bold and reserved? This lager is a hybrid between a traditional light lager and juicy IPA. Not quite an IPL (or a cold IPA) it's a brew all of it's own.
Coffee Porter
Porter - Coffee This unique porter is rich and robust, imparting an intense coffee flavour. And yes, it’s made with real roasted Balzac’s beans in every batch!
White Space Wheat
Wheat Beer - Witbier / Blanche White Space. Calm in a busy world. Brewed with camomile flowers, coriander and Mediterranean blood orange, this beer is very, very mellow. Intentionally cloudy due to our use of wheat in the recipe, this unfiltered beer has a creamy texture and a lightly dry and softly bittersweet orange finish. Relax, we’ve got this.
Classic Organic Pilsner
Pilsner - Other Organic Pilsner is a full-flavoured German lager crafted with traditional ingredients. This brilliantly, light golden beer features a long lasting white head. French Strisselspalt & German Hersbrucker hops provide classic noble hop aroma – a delicate balance of floral, spicy, herbal and subtle citrus notes. The finish is crisp and malty with just enough bitterness to entice you to take another sip.
Welterweight
IPA - Session After seeing people’s reaction to the limited-edition Rodeo Monk Belgian-style IPA, I brewed Welterweight Session IPA to offer the same big hop aromas and delicate fruitiness with a reduced overall bitterness. This feisty white session IPA delivers hoppy Belgian-style IPA qualities at a much more reasonable 4.8% abv, making Welterweight a beer that you can sit on a deck and drink all summer long – and that is exactly what I plan to do!
Rodeo Monk
IPA - White / Wheat Combination of herbal, floral and fruity IPA hops aromas with an underpinning of light peardrop sweetness. Lightly sweet palate that is quite soft and textured due to wheat malt use. Long, complex finish with notes of apricot, pears in syrup and tropical fruit but finally finishing dry.
Tankenstein
IPA - American Originating as a cask-only version of our Tankhouse Ale, Tankenstein is a dry-hopped IPA with full body and matching bitterness. It is a perfectly balanced ale with caramel and biscuit malts complementing the dryness of US grown bittering hops but with a massive over-lay of American Cascade hops being added to the tank during ageing to “dry-hop” the beer and give it a wonderful perfumey character. Grapefruit and piney resinous tones are the main contribution of the Cascades and make this a truly classic American-style IPA. It’s ALIVE!!!!!!
Big League
IPA - American A golden coloured ale with a very floral flavour from American cascade hops perfectly balanced with a soft smooth malt texture and thick, creamy white head that puts it in a league of its own
Rhuby Cove
Cream Ale First brewed in partnership with the St. John’s Fruit Tree Project, this special release has become a favourite at our St. John's Brewpub. Featuring flavours of sweet strawberry and crisp rhubarb, we're excited to bring this fruity and slightly tart beer to Canadians everywhere.

#10 American ISA
IPA - Session Hops: Cascade for bitterness, Sasquatch and BRU-1 for dry hopping Malt: Patagonia Extra Pale, Vienna, Golden Naked Oats and Flaked Wheat. We call it an ISA because it has a Belgian year and malt profile, but the style follows closer to American Hopping regimes both in bitterness and dry hopping. Where this beer is light in malt body and alcohol content it makes this beer more sessionable than a typical pale ale. Aroma: Big notes of pear, followed by bubblegum, pineapple and cantaloupe... Maybe reminiscent of a pinot gris. Taste: A light malt body with hints of biscuit, some slight oat nuttiness and honey and has a mild hop bitterness.
No. 25 - Citrus Cerveza

The nose is greeted with a burst of zesty citrus notes, dominated by fresh lemon and lime. A subtle hint of briny sea salt dances in the background. Crisp and refreshing, tangy lemon and bright lime flavours. The Vancouver Island sea salt adds a nuanced complexity, without overpowering the citrus notes. Light and lively mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.

Tales From the Patch Pumpkin Porter
Pumpkin / Yam Beer We went to great lengths to bring you this killer autumn treat. Pumpkins were handpicked by our brew team from the depths of the path. A cornucopia of spices were added to them before roasting and then the sweet flesh—along with creamy milk sugar—went into this chocolate-hued porter. It’s like homemade pumpkin pie with whipped cream. But better, because it’s beer.

Amber
Red Ale - American Amber / Red This beer is all about the balance of caramel malt sweetness and English and American spicy, citrusy hops. Pours a perfect amber colour, with a light to medium body. Slight hints of stone fruit in the aroma perfectly balance the earthy and herbal hop characteristics. The sweeter caramel maltiness is subdued by a floral hop bitterness in the finish.
Blonde
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other While it is very much like a pilsner, our German-Style Blonde Ale is fermented warmer than a lager, giving it a very subtle citrus fruit character. We've chosen varieties of European and American hops for a distinct aroma and flavour, and rounded out the recipe with a blend of Canadian malts. Pours a golden straw colour, with a light enjoyable mouthfeel. Aromas of freshly cut grasses, perfectly compliment the crisp yet slightly sweet maltiness.
American Pale Ale
Pale Ale - American Our American Pale Ale spotlights two hop varietals, Simcoe and Amarillo. The grain bill is comprised of Canadian and English malts, as well as an adequate amount of oats providing a full mouthfeel without adding too much body. The hop schedule during the brew process imparts a subtle bitterness, while the massive dry hop delivers incredible notes of berry and citrus.
Simcoe DDH IPA
IPA - New England / Hazy Our flagship exploration into the wonderful world of hops... This hazy double dry hopped offering features only Simcoe hops and is modeled after Vermont IPAs. It is medium bodied, juicy, resinous, with a bright aroma of passion fruit and citrus.
Irish Stout
Stout - Irish Dry A celebration of roasted barley, our dry Irish stout is nearly black in colour. It is low in alcohol, but chock full of delightful aromatics and flavour nuances that include hop-bitterness and a slight touch of acidity, both of which provide contrast to the beer’s big, roast-heavy character.
Electric Mayhem
IPA - New England / Hazy This double dry hopped IPA was created to be a clean and pleasingly graceful showcase for two delicious hop varietals - Citra and Mosaic. It is brewed with a simple malt bill and fermented with our house IPA yeast to create a flavour profile that spotlights the ingredients and yeast character. Electric Mayhem’s aroma is a citrus explosion. The taste follows suit with notes of orange juice, grapefruit, mango, and hints of lime. It is dry, soft, and adequately bittered resulting in a very approachable and thirst quenching IPA.
Silent Trees
Pale Ale - New England / Hazy In the spirit of restraint, we developed this New England Pale Ale to be more balanced and approachable than it’s aggressively hopped big brothers and sisters. The Citra and Mosaic notes shine bright though the soft, medium body of this offering, and are sure to please the palate.
Prairie Wind
Wheat Beer - Other Brewed with 50% Canadian 2-Row barley, 50% Canadian malted wheat, and just the right amount of hops for balance, our take on an American wheat ale has soft flour-like mouthfeel and incredible drinkability. It pours a beautiful hazy orange and is served with a slice of lemon, making for what we think is the perfect wheat beer!
SPRØ Kveik
Other Sprø {adjective}: crisp, crispy, crazy, mad. We brewed this experimental Norwegian lagered ale with a very particular Kveik yeast strain and were able to produce a very light, and extremely drinkable beer that is almost indistinguishable from a central European lager. It is dry, light to medium bodied, and finishes with slightly floral notes from generous additions of classic noble hop varieties.?
Pebbles And Marbles
IPA - New England / Hazy Yet another of our double dry hopped Vermont style IPAs. Brewed with Citra and Galaxy hops, this offering is soft and medium bodied, with cornucopia of tropical flavours and aromas.
Guardian DDHIPA
IPA - American Guardian was created to be a clean showcase for our favourite Australian hop - GALAXY. It is brewed with a simple malt bill and fermented with our house ale yeast to profile the ingredients rather than the yeast character. As it warms it shows its depth and complexity beyond its resinous, dry mouthfeel. Soft notes of citrus, peach and passionfruit aromas dance on the tongue before a sharp citric bitterness finishes things off.
Oktoberfest
Märzen Our take on the traditional German Märzen-style is like Autumn in a glass. The recipe is comprised of 100% German ingredients imparting a deep red, almost garnet colour. Aromas of toasted pumpernickel bread, caramel, and dark fruit fill the nose. Taste follows the aroma with upfront but not overwhelming caramel flavours, resulting in a medium to full bodied, smooth and malty beer. Prost!
Little Tiles Mosaic DDHIPA
IPA - American Say hello to Little Tiles Double Dry Hopped IPA..another of our ever rotating DDHIPAs. This offering is brewed with a simple malt bill of English and Canadian malts, and features a MASSIVE dry hopping schedule with one of our favourite American hops - Mosaic. This juicy IPA is a blast of citrus, peach, and mango with a light pillowy mouthfeel, supported by a perfect balance of resiny, pithy bitterness.
Lagerbier
Lager - Pale Even though we call it “Lagerbier”, this beer is considered more of an unfiltered Munich-style Helles lager or “Kellerbier”. You will find our original lager to be a malt accented offering with a pleasant sweetness, along with floral notes from generous Hallertau Mittlefrüh hop additions. Clean and crisp, this German offering pairs perfectly with most foods, and is endlessly refreshing.
Late Harvest
Altbier - Traditional In the continuation of our exploration into German-style beer, we present Late Harvest, an Altbier. The style originated in the Düsseldorf area of Germany, a region that did not embrace the traditional methods of cold aging or lagering. Our top-fermented Altbier is a balance of malt flavours and hints of floral hop aromas, and proves to be a perfect beer as we head into the later days of autumn and early days of winter.
Koper
Red Ale - Other We brewed our flagship ale recipe, fermented it with a blend of our house Kveik and Belgian yeasts, and dry hopped it with Sasquatch. The end result is a much fruitier offering that is nothing like our original ale.
American Stout
Stout - American Our American stout is a complex beer. It is rich with the flavours of fresh roasted coffee, raw cacao, caramel, and even a hint of English biscuits.
Fenian Rebel
Red Ale - Irish Our traditional Irish Red Ale gets its warm ruby colour from a combination of Canadian pale and European caramel malts. The medium bodied sweetness is nicely balanced by traditional English-style hops making it a very unique and enjoyable ale that fans of our Amber are sure to love!
Maple Latte Nitro Porter
Porter - Coffee In the spirit of neighbourly collaboration, we present Maple Latte Nitro Porter. Our good friends from both Ottawa Valley Coffee and Hollow Point Ranch & Sugarbush helped develop this medium bodied, dark offering through extensive conversation and tastings throughout the process. The result is what we think is the perfect beer for late sugar season, or anytime really!
Loyal Orange
IPA - Imperial / Double Introducing Loyal Orange, a West Coast Double India Pale Ale!
Splash
Sour - Berliner Weisse SPLASH is brewed in the Berliner Weisse style, with a Canadian twist. This sour style historically comes for the city of Berlin, Germany. It is light coloured with lemon notes and distinct tartness which makes it the perfect beer for all seasons.
Indulgent - Tiramisu Pastry Stout

This imperial pastry stout was brewed with lady fingers, organic cacao nibs from Ghana, and espresso beans from Kaatittiaq Coffee Company. It is decadently dark, rich, and viscous leaving you with a pallet coating dessert-like sweetness.

Percy Mapleton
Porter - English Percy LeFroy Mapleton, aka the British "railway murderer" of 1881. No passenger nor porter witnessed his ghoulish crime on the on the express train from London Bridge Station. He became the subject of the first police composite picture to appear on a "wanted" poster ultimately leading to his arrest and execution. Our Porter is spookily delicious with hints of cocoa and notes of biscuit, a deep brown hue with full rounded flavour and subtle floral aroma from the Golding hop additions.
Biju
IPA - Brut BIJU is our third variation of a BRUT IPA. 0° Plato, with super tropical aromas and flavour, unfiltered yet bright. Could such a mystically delicious concoction be real? Yep. Perfectum
Stout - Irish Dry Perfectum is a dry stout with a pleasant note of chocolate in its aroma, a thick, creamy head, and a roasted, malty flavour. A sweeter beer than most, Perfectum has minimal hop and floral notes. It has mild carbonation and a medium finish that can be avoured, but doesn’t overstay its welcome.
Lone Wolf McAle
Pale Ale - American Are you a lone wolf among a throng of sheep? Can you count the number of people you trust on one hand and have 4 fingers left over? Is your name synonymous with extreme toughness and martial arts? This beer is for you. We added 20lbs of freshly peeled and diced ginger late in the boil for a unique taste and aroma. It’s a roundhouse kick of flavour. A ginger spiced ale, it’s a lone operator among a series of expendable beers. Ideal for long Canadian winters, or any time you need to get away from the boring and predictable. While still a pale ale, this beer comes in at the upper range of the SRM colour scale for this type of beer and features a deep amber hue. A medium carbonation gives it a foamy head that helps highlight its rare flavour. Slight hints of citrus and spices on the nose that complement the spicy ginger taste. The finish is light and clean. The Lone Wolf McAle is another offering that uses only a single hop variety. This allows the spicy ginger flavour to be dominant, while providing the full complexity of hop flavouring.
Hans In Die Hosen
Lager - Pale
Cranshaw's Spruced IPA
IPA - American Known to northern peoples since beer was first brewed, spruce beer has been a source of comfort and nutrition, allowing easy, and tasty, access to crucial vitamins thanks to the inclusion of spruce tips in the brewing process. We added Colorado Blue Spruce tips late in the boil to bring out the essential oils that flavour the beer and give it a nutritional punch. Versions of this brew have helped ward off scurvy, keeping sailors, hunters, and explorers alive, including Captain Cook himself. If you need a beer to keep you alive, Cranshaw’s your boy. Thanks to its unique ingredients, this beer unsurprisingly features a resinous, piney taste that is both crisp and fortifying. The Blue Spruce is noticeable both on the nose and the flavour of the beer, but thanks to the properties of this additive, it doesn’t linger on the finish. With a low IBU rating, it balances an herbal quality with only subtle fruity notes that are more common in IPAs. Not as dark as some spruce beers, ranking an 11 on the SRM (at 40, the beer is black). This means it has an amber colour, darker than a golden pale ale, but not so much as a brown ale.
Sour Cherry Sour
Sour - Fruited
Forest Ridge Fire Road

Unique is the Gargoyle hop which has been revived by an organic hop farm near Clearlake, California. Yummy!

Red Ale - American Amber / Red Like Blou Amber, Papa Lou is a rare find. A friend to many and giving to all, Lou reminds us of the importance of humanity and taking life as it comes. It doesn’t hurt that he rides a Phat bike :). BLou Amber is a tribute to friends and finding fun deep is Larose forest. Scottish Ale From out of the darkness of pre-recorded history, Heather Ale is an altogether unique brew. Originally crafted by the inhabitants of coastal Northern Europe, Scandinavia, and the Northern British Isles, fresh heather flowers and other herbs were used to balance and flavor the rustic yet sweet toasted character of the malted barley. Its brewing tradition existed long before the advent of hopped beers, and has continued, sporadically, in small rural communities for millennia.

Amber Ale
Red Ale - American Amber / Red This is our flagship beer. We consider it the “A” in ABC. It was our first creation and this gem continues to be our most popular beer. An excellent introduction to the craft beer world. Ashton’s Amber Ale has subtle flavouts that will appeal to every palate. This pint boats caramel notes, hoppy aromas and a clean finish. Enjoy!
Blueberry Wheat
Wheat Beer - Fruited
Harvest Brown
Brown Ale - English Our brown ale is a brown with bite, at 6% it is stronger than the traditional brown ales. With its smooth body, inventive hopping, and deep roasted flavours, it’s so well balanced that it’s hard to detect the slight increase in alcohol content. It’s a beer that makes it hard to say no to a second.
Cream Ale
Cream Ale Traditionally cream ales were made by ale brewers trying to simulate lagers. Many of these brewers added flaked corn to the recipe to give it a smoother, creamier taste, hence the name "cream ale". Ashton cream is made with a combination of grains, these include pale malted barley, carastan malt, and wheat flakes. The beer has a light golden colour, is moderately hopped, and has a creamy mouth feel. Using sazz hops for aromatics, imparts a slightly floral nose and may cause pilsner drinkers to think they have just ordered their favourite Czechoslovakian pils. This is a great beer for people that are not convinced that they like the traditional British ales, but want a premium beer with a north American flare.
IPA
IPA - American Our British style IPA is a good start for those willing to wander off the beaten path of traditional Canadian beers. Balance is the key to this popular blend that will leave you wanting to have another.

HopStravaganza
IPA - English First brewed in England for troops in India during the late 1700s. To withstand the voyage, IPAs were tweaked Pale Ales that were much more malty, boasted a higher alcohol content and were well hopped. It is believed that troops were served watered-down versions of the beer while officers and the elite enjoyed it at full strength. Over the decades, alcohol content lowered due to taxation so less need for malt and hop presence to keep beer balanced. Hopstravanganza is a traditional style English IPA, brilliant pale color with flavor and aroma citrus notes up front. Bitterness starts softly yet sharpens quickly towards the end...and it lingers.
